What I Do

Portraiture, contemporary, representational and whimsical works of fine art in bronze and other sculpture mediums.  Foremost among these fields is portraiture.  It is my forte.  Portraits modeled either from professional or personal photographs are living representations of their subject.  A special sensitivity to the attributes of my subject’s individual personality renders a bust that is true and vibrant with life. 

Sculpted portraits have always been the hallmark of human tribute.  Be it a dignitary or a loved one, it is the ultimate honor to their memory, living or dead.  A three dimensional portrait brings the person to life as no painting or photo can.  It is also a form of representation that makes one immortal, as it will be handed down generation after generation. 

In addition to portraiture, other works that are the embodiment of various emotions, opinions, and observations make up my portfolio.  The body of my works is best defined as embracing.  As an aged student of human nature, they reflect my observations of humans being human.  The subject matter of each sculpture dictated the style in which it was sculpted be it contemporary, representational or whimsical.  Surface texture, patina, and modeling techniques were all done to best impart the message within each piece.
